I rarely wash my hair except every 6 weeks when I do the protein. I wash it with Aphogee’s shampoo for damaged hair, do the protein treatment, rinse it out and then deep condition my hair with Queen Helene.
Ok 1 more question lol you metion with using the Aphogee that you did thr protein treatment then the deep condition so that is what u are sayin do the protein treatment then wash n condition??
You should just start with a wash and deep condition on your first day. Use a leave in conditioner after that and once your hair is dried, moisturize and seal your hair. You will moisturize and seal daily but wash and condition once a week or so or however you feel it’s needed.
Honestly, the whole thing about starting a healthy hair journey is trial and error. You have pick some products and see if your hair improves. It took me 2 years or so to finally get it right and I believe that’s the same for everyone else who have every tried to get healthier hair. Just find some products that have gotten some good reviews here on Youtube or any other website and go from there. Hope this helps!
How will I know what works for my hair if i’m just starting to grow it because my hair is so damaged and short and want to start out right and now. So without picking products that would possible damage my hair is there any suggestions or anyway I can tell what would be best for me?
Stretching 8 months is really good I can see the difference in my hair now that I only relax twice a year versus when I would touch up every 5 weeks, I cringe thinking of that :S
After REALLY getting serious about getting my hair healthy, I noticed a difference in less than a month. Deep conditioning once or twice a week worked wonders!
Hi Eletha! I don’t pre-poo anymore and I can’t really remember the results but since I stop doing it, I guess it’s safe to say I didn’t like it too much:/
I have to get the Queen Helene Cholesterol again! I remember my mother used to use that on my hair back in the day. I forgot how beneficial it was to my hair. I’ve been looking for a moisturizing deep conditioner that wasn’t protein based. I saw in another video that you used the Amla oil for pre-conditioning. How did that work for you? I was interested in getting the Amla oil for my pre-poo treatments and I have heard so many great things about it. Great video and I just subscribed!
@MakeupByTati- No it won’t. It does good at moisturizing your hair. But just to be safe, try it and watch how it does. Give it a trial period since everyone’s hair is different.
@TheAListerz- Any good products for what? Growing your hair longer? All the advice I have has been given in this video. There’s no “miracle product” just ones that work or don’t work for your hair. Just be consistent and you’ll get the results you want:)
What if hair is really thick but you just want it longer . I wash my hair once a week but I have to blow dry my hair. I was wondering if you have any good products that could take care of that . Thnx
@blackmagicwomanify- You may be washing your hair too often. Cut back to once a week and since airdrying isn’t giving you the results you want, go ahead and see if blow drying is better. Trial and error. If one thing isn’t working, try other things until you find what works.

I haven’t personally used them so I can’t say either way.
Would u recommend olive oil products?

Girl, me too! The minute I saw some new growth coming in, I would relax! Geesh, glad we learned better!
I bought the queen helene because I realized that the palmers deep conditioner is protein based and was using it once a week.
