Silent Hill 3 Walkthrough Hard difficulty / Hard riddle part 9 Grinning to himself as he picks up the moonstone at old childhood memories, Snake opens the red scribbled map to see what’s left to explore when something caught his eye. “The crescent moon door!” Snake remembered passing by a door marked with a crescent moon and had noted it on his map. Seeing the similarity between the stone and the door he wastes no time in chasing his only lead out of here. Running up the escalator Snake finally makes it to the door and to his relief the moonstone fit in to a hole unlocking it. As he opened the door Snake was paralysed by the sudden blood curdling howl that came from behind him. He knew exactly what is was and hurried through the door. He tried to slam it shut behind him but a sudden bone crippling pain shot through his arm. In horror snake turned and saw the split mouth monster clamping down on his arm covered in his own blood. Snake finally got to see this demon up close. It howled like a wolf and took the shape of a dog except its face was horribly disfigured; his mouth split four ways and his body covered in bandages discoloured by its own rotting flesh. Snake punched the hellish hound causing it to flinch and let go off his arm as it opened its mouth to let out a threatening snarl. Splitting is face wide open Snake saw his opportunity and took his pistol and rammed is in the mutt’s throat blasting a hole through the back of its head. The demon collapsed, falling apart …
